Shawn Jernigan is passionate about doing hair and all things NYC, where the city's energy inspires his creativity and personal growth. He looks forward to working alongside the Sam Brocato Salon team, assisting and learning from seasoned stylists, while sharpening his craft and preparing to take on clients of his own.
A proud recipient of a full scholarship to the Aveda Institute of New York, Shawn graduated with determination and heart, refusing to let life's challenges stand in the way of his dreams. His natural ability to craft polished, expressive hairstyles reflects both his artistic eye and deep love for beauty as a form of self-expression.
When he's not in the salon, Shawn finds joy in home décor, fashion styling, writing poetry, and cooking. He's deeply committed to promoting unity and believes in the power of compassion and connection across all human experiences.
Shawn draws inspiration from legendary beauty industry icons, including Pat McGrath, Kim Kimble, Sam Brocato, Vidal Sassoon, Madame CJ Walker, and Marc Jacobs. His journey is just beginning, and with a heart full of passion and purpose, Shawn is ready to make his mark - one style, one story, and one soul at a time.
