Not only a master haircutter, Stephen is an expert in extensions, smoothing treatments, and French blowouts. Originally from Taiwan, Stephen's mother wanted him to be a lawyer. Though initially contemplating becoming a fashion designer, he chose to be a hairstylist. His rationale was that "people don't always need a lawyer, but everyone needs a good hairstylist." He has worked with and studied under beauty industry legends Sergio Valente, Harry King, Kevin Mancuso, and Kim Lepine.
In NYC, Stephen's "uptown meets downtown" aesthetic thrives, where he finds inspiration in his diverse salon clientele, always learning and making people feel great about themselves. Beyond the salon, he's a self-confessed shopping enthusiast and foodie. He enjoys people-watching and is a perennial fan of bubblegum pop music and contemporary art, especially Picasso. His wanderlust finds solace in his favorite city, where “Paris is always a good idea.”
